Shrink the link
When you want to include or forward a Website address that looks like this: www.verylongurl/news/column/%851426%/blahblahblah, that's too long and clunky for your liking:
- Right-click on the link and select "Edit Hyperlink".
- In the box at the top, titled "Text to display", type in the title you'd prefer, like Link Shrunk.
This will work in any of the standard Office programmes.

- VLC media player allows you to play almost any kind of file on Windows Media Player.
- DVD shrink compresses DVD data, so that you can fit backups of DVDs onto DVD-R disks, which store less data than straight DVDs.
