Phone Shortcuts for the BlackBerry:

ACTION	SHORTCUT / KEY
Add an extension to a phone number	Alt and X, then type extension
Answer a phone call	Send
Assign a speed dial number to a key, from the Home screen or in the Phone application	Hold the key you want to assign. Type the phone number.
Change volume during a call	Roll trackwheel
Check voicemail	Hold 1
Dial letter numbers (e.g. 888-ROGERS1)	Alt, then type the letters
End a call	Escape
Insert a plus sign ( + ) when typing a phone number	Hold 0
Move to the top of the phone screen	Space
Open the phone	Phone or Space
Turn off the speakerphone during a call	Speakerphone
Turn on the speakerphone during a call	Speakerphone
Type a letter in a phone number field	Alt and the letter
View the contact list	Send
View the last phone number that you typed	Space and Enter. Press Send to dial the number
